The Fives in Tarot present difficulties and conflict. The Five of Pentacles represents financial, material, and physical difficulties, including health problems. There may be an indication of spiritual poverty here also. Its appearance in a reading will usually indicate that you’re going through a rough patch financially. You’re experiencing hardship. You feel insecure, like you have no safe place; like you have no place you can call home.

The Five of Pentacles can also represent illness. It may even indicate the illness of someone very close to you.
